BC Dry Powder is a siliconized sodium bicarbonate based dry chemical that is suitable to use on either Class B and C type fires. The application is designed for use against flammable liquid and gas fires. It is available in different grades like : BC -10, BC – 30, BC – 40, BC – 60, BC -80 and BC- 90.
The letters stand for the class of fire the extinguisher can be used against:
Class B Fire: extinguish fires involving flammable liquids, solvents, oil, gasoline, paints, lacquers, and other oil-based products.
Class C Fire: extinguish fires involving flammable gases like LPG and other gases
